The Nordac Flex SK 205E series was specially developed for use in baggage handling systems at airports or conveyor systems in parcel distribution centers.

The frequency inverters are characterized by a wide power range up to 22 kW. In addition, the Nordac Flex SK 205E has a compact design and, with its integrated Posicon controller, enables high accuracy in synchronization and positioning applications. Another advantage is the precise, fast current vector control: it ensures that the speeds remain constant with changing loads. The Nordac Flex SK 205E also offers maximum flexibility and enables energy savings thanks to its good energy efficiency, especially in partial load operation. This even applies to applications that would not technically require an inverter.

Users are flexible when it comes to installation. The inverters can be installed close to the drive in the field or integrated into the motor. The connection of power and data cables can be pluggable. The decentralized system enables short motor and encoder cables as well as short supply cables to sensors. The inverters can be used to control standard asynchronous motors, highly efficient synchronous motors and brake motors. Encoder feedback can be implemented for position-controlled transport systems, for example. As the Nordac Flex SK 205E exhibits high overload behavior during operation, dynamic movements with short start and stop times or cycle operation are also possible.

The frequency inverters in the Nordac Flex SK 205E series have 4 digital inputs and 1 digital output, for example for fault messages. The inverter can be monitored via an optional Bluetooth interface using the Nordcon app. Possible faults can be quickly diagnosed and rectified in this way. The drive can be parameterized as standard via the integrated diagnostic interface using the free Nordcon software tool.

The inverter has a total of six digital and two analog interfaces, two encoder interfaces and an integrated PLC for programming drive-related functions. A wide range of extensions are available as accessories using optional modules, for example a communication interface that supports the standard Ethernet dialects and extensions for functional safety such as Profisafe and STO.
