Another focus of Module 4 is damage analysis: participants learn what options exist for recording damage to rolling bearings, what individual damage patterns look like and what can be done to prevent or rectify damage. "It is important for the designer to learn from the damage that has occurred and to incorporate improvements into their products accordingly," says Klaus Findling. "We provide the participants with tools for feeding the results back into the redesign."

According to the company description, the modular structure of the training courses makes them suitable for employees from different areas of the company and at different career levels. The overarching topic is the optimal selection of rolling bearings, both technically and economically. The theory of rolling bearing technology is taken into account, but practical advice is not neglected either. With these tips and tricks for increasing competitiveness, the participants bring real added value to their companies.

Training courses on specific product groups

In 2018, Findling Wälzlager will also be adding a new format to the training program. The one-day training courses will focus on specific product groups. Three different training courses are currently being offered on needle roller bearings, deep groove ball bearings from the eXtreme series, housing bearings, spherical roller bearing units and plummer blocks. "The target group are employees or users with previous knowledge who want to gain in-depth insights into the respective subject matter of a specific product group. This makes the training courses even more efficient for the participants," explains Klaus Findling. "The background: a designer of encoders is not interested in spherical roller bearing solutions and a user in pump construction does not necessarily need to know what housing bearings can do." These training courses are also manufacturer-independent - the participants therefore receive a neutral overview of which solutions are available on the market in the respective product group.
