Versatile servo technology

Engel Elektroantriebe has introduced the HFI series. These are drive systems with integrated control electronics. They aim to score points with high fieldbus flexibility and an STO safety function (Safe Torque Off).

With outputs of up to 600 watts and torques of up to 1.9 newton meters, they build on the manufacturer's existing HBI series. Right from the start, the new HFI series consists of four compact models for operation on 24 and 48 volts, which come in a "motor-like" design and can be supplemented with planetary gearboxes and holding brakes if required. Engel also offers the optional realization of customer-specific special requests and designs.

The new HFI series provides users in intralogistics, the food industry, packaging and assembly technology in particular with a versatile servo technology solution that can be used to implement dynamic and powerful drive systems for stand-alone or multi-axis applications. The standard STO function is particularly advantageous for kinematics with fast-moving axes, such as those found in handling and positioning technology. pb
