Optimum control

Coordinated with each other

Siemens has expanded its portfolio of Simotics synchronous reluctance motors to include the two axis heights AH90 and AH225.

In this way, the company aims to meet the requirements of equipment manufacturers who require different shaft heights - for example for pumps, fans, compressors and in general mechanical engineering. The motors are available in a power range from 0.55 to 45 kilowatts. Motors are also available with a rated speed of 1,500 and 3,000 revolutions per minute. With the Sinamics Reluctance Control license, precise encoderless torque control is possible right up to standstill. This license enables field-oriented (vector) control even at standstill - even if the load inertia is not known, "tilting" of the synchronous motor is ruled out at all times.

As an integrated drive system, the Simotics reluctance motor and Sinamics inverter are specially matched to each other and enable highly efficient operation compared to asynchronous motors, especially in the partial load range.
