Compact drives are desired
With its electric drives for small sizes, SMC aims to meet the demand for increasingly compact and networked drive solutions. The compact slides in the LES series, for example, correspond to a height of 35 mm and a maximum stroke of 75 mm for size 8.
In addition to motors with ball screws or belts, electric cylinders with and without guide rods and numerous compact slide variants, these also include electric swivel drives, grippers and support guides. Each of these actuators can be controlled with a controller type from the JXCP1 or JXCE1 series, depending on whether it is a Profinet or EtherCat network. Parameterization can be carried out very easily via user-friendly Windows software.
In the standard range of compact actuators, the manufacturer already offers miniature models from size 6 (height 30 mm, width 20.5 mm, maximum stroke 75 mm). The electric actuators with piston rod or slide (Lepy and Leps series) are already available in sizes 6 and 10. The electric compact slides (Les [H]) are available from size 8, the electric grippers (Leh [Z, F, S]) and rotary actuators (Ler) from size 10.
