Clutch series

Optimally protected against corrosion

Stauff has revised its QRC-IA coupling series. The newly introduced series is characterized by particularly high corrosion resistance.

The ISO 7241/series 1 plug-in couplings are the most important reference couplings in agricultural engineering, particularly in the aftermarket and replacement business. The design and performance are defined in the standard. The QRC-IA series now presented by Stauff is extremely corrosion-resistant. This is a convincing argument, especially in agricultural engineering, because the couplings are exposed to moisture, corrosive fertilizers and high-pressure water jets (when cleaning mobile machinery and equipment).

The zinc-nickel-based corrosion protection coating preferred by Stauff after a series of tests and proven in practice is therefore now also used in the revised QRC-IA. It offers maximum resistance to red rust/ base metal corrosion under practical conditions and exceeds even the highest requirements of corrosion protection class K5, which are defined in VDMA standard sheet 24576 for pipe connections. The high ductility of the coating creates the conditions for above-average wear resistance under high mechanical stress.

In addition, the QRC-IA couplings are now coded to allow quick identification and traceability. Another typical Stauff feature is the high safety factor of the coupling: the burst pressure corresponds to at least four times the operating pressure.

The series is available from stock in eight sizes from DN 6 to DN 51 for operating pressures up to 350 bar (depending on the coupling size). The compact design enables use in confined machine areas. Even then, convenient and safe operation is guaranteed: The operator only has to pull back the sliding sleeve of the coupling loose half.

Users who place higher demands on ease of use and flow rates have a powerful alternative to choose from with the HP series from Stauff. It is characterized, among other things, by simple operation thanks to the push-pull sleeve and a design optimized for high flow rates. This plug-in coupling series is also frequently used in agricultural machinery and its attachments and will be on display at Agritechnica. as
