More space down under
Bonfiglioli opens new Australian headquarters
Bonfiglioli has relocated the headquarters of its Australian subsidiary to Carrum Downs, near Melbourne, Victoria. The move has doubled the space for both production and quality management to a total of 3,500 square meters.
This is Bonfiglioli's response to the increased demand in the APAC region and at the same time the Italian drive specialist is improving the quality assurance of its products.
The doubling in size will also help Bonfiglioli to better and faster serve key Australian industries such as marine, water and wastewater, mining, waste, recycling and agriculture. "The expansion was focused on our customers," explains Michael Mullen, Regional Manager of Bonfiglioli, VIC, SA and TAS at Bonfiglioli Australia. "Carrum Downs is also geographically closer to a number of key customers and with the additional space, improved testing facilities and larger warehouses, we can serve all customers even better," Mullen continues.
30 years in Australia
Bonfiglioli is celebrating its 30th anniversary in Australia this year and is one of the leading suppliers of helical, planetary and worm gearboxes as well as frequency inverters for industrial and mobile machinery applications. One of the key features of the new Australian headquarters in Victoria is a dedicated test area for quality assurance, where larger electric motors and gearboxes can be tested than at the previous site. In addition to the improved testing area, the new plant also has its own paint shop and a service area for maintenance and a reconditioning unit for used transmissions. as
