Automation concepts and solutions for the digital future
Baumüller is presenting its solutions and systems for Industry 4.0 at the Hannover Messe. These include motor concepts, intelligent integrated drive functions and high-performance control platforms.
Baumüller presented its new ProSimulation software. The tool simplifies the virtual design, optimization and commissioning of machines and systems. Depending on their level of experience, users can either quickly create their own simulations and use cases thanks to the basic library or import existing software models via open interfaces.
The company will also be showcasing the ProMaster engineering framework, which offers a growing library of specific modules and machine modules with comprehensive functions in addition to the basic library of motion modules according to PLCOpen. The basic library has been expanded to include various motion blocks for motion control of up to three motorized axes of a system.
The water-cooled model sizes 45 and 56 have been added to the servomotor portfolio. Thanks to the water cooling medium, the small motors can be installed next to each other even in tight spaces without heating each other up. They are suitable for textile machines, plastics machines as well as forming and bending machines.
Baumüller will also be presenting the optimized DA1-100-280 series of three-phase asynchronous motors at the trade fair. New features include optimized water cooling in sizes 100/132/160 in accordance with the new IE guidelines for air-cooled motors, as well as optimized connection technology. The company will also be showcasing the b maXX 5800 multi-axis controller, which allows users to integrate the right axis power for each individual axis. The decentralized servo drive reduces cabling and installation costs and is available in three sizes.
