Angular gearbox

Change of direction

Four-pole AC asynchronous motors are also available from Koco Motion. For the small versions, the manufacturer and distributor of compact, highly integrated electric drives and controls has introduced the BRH right-angle gearbox, which allows the drive direction to be rotated by 90 degrees.

Installation space is often limited, especially for belt drives, and an AC drive with an angular gearbox is suitable for this as it reduces the required rear installation space on the drive side. The angular gearbox is available for the small AC asynchronous motors of the K8 series with a diameter of 80 millimetres and for the K9 series with a diameter of 90 millimetres. The BRH is based on reduction ratios from 3/1 to 180/1; they can be further reduced on the motor side with the one-to-ten gearbox. The user can choose between shaft or hollow shaft output.

Output torques of up to 20 Newton meters are possible. Drive motor versions with outputs from 25 to 200 watts are available in the "Reversible", "Induction", "Brake" and "Speed Control" versions. Depending on the motor version, the connection is single-phase at 230 volts AC with an auxiliary capacitor to a speed controller or as three-phase AC motors in the range from 230 to 400 volts. pb
