Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) have long been established in intralogistics. ebm-papst offers drives from the ECI series that are specially designed for AGVs.
AGVs transport various goods with different weights. For this purpose, the wheel drives and also the drives for lifting devices or load securing equipment must meet special requirements. ebm-papst offers the drives of the ECI series for this application, which are specially designed for AGVs.
The active parts (wound stator and magnet-equipped rotor) measure just 60 millimetres in the most powerful version of the ECI-63 and ECI-80 sizes and can therefore be easily accommodated in the AGV even in tight installation spaces. They are lightweight and can also handle longer travel distances and times without having to repeatedly recharge the energy storage units. Thanks to their modular design, the motors can be flexibly combined with the desired control electronics, gearboxes, encoders and brakes. In addition to planetary and spur gearboxes, space-saving angular gearboxes with crown gear technology are also available. There are also application-specific options for the control electronics - from electronics with Hall sensors for rotor position detection to positionable, fully integrated control electronics with bus interface. The compact, electronically commutated, brushless internal rotor motors with diameters of 42, 63 and 80 millimetres cover the power range from 50 to 750 watts. The models meet the requirements of protection class IP54 and are available with industrial-grade plugs, among other things, in which the radial angled plug with bayonet lock can be rotated and engages automatically. pb
