"Tech Days" bring expert knowledge into the company

With the "Tech Days" series of events, Bossard and KVT-Fastening are bringing the world of fastening technology directly to companies. For one day, the experts are available to answer all questions and provide analysis to contacts in manufacturing companies.

The implementation is very uncomplicated: The provision of premises by the respective company is sufficient. Afterwards, the experts from KVT-Fastening and Bossard are available for one day to answer all technical and economic questions from the manufacturing companies.

Design engineers receive an overview of the latest product innovations, alternative fastening technologies and technical advice directly on the component. Buyers and supply chain managers can see for themselves the economic benefits of intelligent fastening and logistics solutions using practical examples. Quality planners will learn how they can ensure process reliability and increase product quality with reduced processing steps, optimized assembly sequences and ergonomic workstations. Hans van der Velden, Managing Director of Bossard Germany, comments: "At the Tech Days, we will be presenting our entire portfolio in order to give the various specialist departments something that can only be achieved to a limited extent at trade fairs and events: a flexible presentation of modern fastening technology and logistics solutions tailored to individual needs and interests - free of charge and without obligation."

The content of the Tech Days is largely based on the new Assembly Technology Expert (ATE) services presented for the first time at the Hannover Messe. This fully covers issues relating to the various requirements in product design, on the production line, in C-parts supply and product range composition as well as further education and training. Companies can use the knowledge gained from the Tech Days as an impetus for the development and optimization of existing products and the introduction of more efficient processes. This gives them the opportunity to implement requirements for a faster time-to-market, cost reductions and higher productivity with more flexibility in batch size and better quality.

The six Bossard ATE services in detail

Depending on the company's individual requirements, the six Expert Services can be used on a modular basis or as a complete package. The aim in each case is to realize the ideal solution for the customer and a competitive product following an analysis of the current situation and improvements to the product design and assembly process.

In the initial Expert Walk, the technology professionals carry out a detailed analysis of the production and assembly processes. In particular, the workstations and assembly lines, but also the fasteners and tools used, are examined with regard to possible rationalization and optimization potential. The goal: leaner and smarter production in every respect. Expert Assortment Analysis focuses on reviewing the C-parts used in the warehouse and production to identify possible reductions and optimizations in the product range. Expert Design is used to improve the design of new products from the outset, incorporating additive manufacturing using 3D printing with regard to the ideal joining materials, elements and methods. In Expert Teardown, existing products are reconstructed with a view to the best fastening solution and quantifiable cost-saving potential in production. Expert Education covers basic technical knowledge through to the design of fastening technology in accordance with VDI/VDE 2637 and others. The training courses can be held online, via the new Bossard e-learning program, directly at the customer's premises or at the internal Bossard Academy. The focus of the Expert Test Services is the implementation of customer ideas under laboratory conditions. Parts, components and fasteners from the 1,000,000-strong product range are used. Documented tests give customers the certainty that the product fulfills the desired function. There are 14 test centers in Europe, America and Asia available for this purpose, three of which are ISO/IE 17025-certified.
