Service concept for waterjet cutting

StM now offers a service concept for its waterjet cutting systems that includes maintenance, support and warranty. This applies not only to the waterjet cutting system itself, but also to the high-pressure pump.

The committed medium-sized company StM has expanded its service offering and made it more customer-friendly. The new service concept is based on three "all-round carefree" modules that guarantee users of all model series process reliability and effective quality management. The focus in each case is on comprehensive maintenance, unlimited support within 24 hours and a warranty extension of up to 8 years. This applies not only to the waterjet cutting system itself, but also to the high-pressure pump - a service that is unique worldwide. The aim: to permanently optimize cutting performance, minimize downtimes and unexpected additional costs, maximize customer satisfaction - on the basis of a cooperative partnership without the usual time and topic restrictions.

The result is the three service modules "StM 108-point check", "StM annual service" and "StM high-pressure pump service". The "108-point check" was specially designed for customers who want to bring their system back to 100 percent performance after the warranty has expired. Once all 108 points have been checked and restored to perfect condition, an annual service is carried out on the waterjet cutting system to restore the warranty. With existing maintenance contracts or when concluding a new contract, customers regain a warranty on the StM waterjet cutting system. Both packages include maintenance as well as technical application advice and assistance - by telephone or online via remote support, as required. The maintenance contract runs for one year and can be terminated at the end of the year.

The service package also includes a one-year warranty extension and a guaranteed buy-back price of 20% of the purchase price - the warranty extension up to 8 years after commissioning of the system. The contractual partners in Europe undergo a parallel certification process to ensure a consistently high standard of service.

The 108-point check: qualified for the warranty extension

Once the warranty has expired, users can now have the system status determined with the "StM 108-point check" at a flat rate. For this purpose, an experienced service technician checks all system components of the waterjet cutting system on site. This includes the high-pressure lines and pump as well as the process water rinsing system. In addition, the current cutting parameters are subjected to an efficiency analysis. Based on the results, the necessary repair measures are summarized in an individual offer. The warranty is automatically extended when a maintenance contract is concluded. The "108-point check" is offered for all models in the StM portfolio. The only requirement is a maximum system age of 7 years from initial commissioning.

With the "StM annual service", users can ensure that all wear parts required for smooth operation are replaced in addition to adjustment and maintenance work. In addition, this appointment can be used for a production strategy exchange, during which the specialists responsible can identify solutions for the implementation of specific cutting tasks. As part of this complete service, the entire cutting system is inspected. This includes the high-pressure pump, water circulation system, safety devices and other parts. In addition to the inspection, all relevant wear parts of the waterjet cutting system are replaced free of charge. The StM helpdesk can be consulted free of charge all year round in the event of technical questions or problems. It provides unlimited telephone or online remote support for problems or application-related questions. When a maintenance contract is concluded, the warranty is automatically extended by one year, for up to 8 years. After a maintenance contract term of 8 years, StM customers also enjoy a buy-back guarantee, which secures them 20 percent of the purchase price.

The high-pressure pump trimmed for top performance

StM recommends regular high-pressure pump services, especially for users who use their system in continuous operation and cut at a high level. StM offers "all-round carefree" packages for all BFT and StM high-pressure pumps to ensure perfect cutting results and maximum system availability in the long term. The manufacturer's warranty is extended by one year up to a maximum of 8 years (or 20,000 operating hours) when StM carries out a corresponding service. After a maintenance contract term of 8 years, users enjoy a buy-back guarantee, similar to the waterjet cutting system, which secures them 20 percent of the purchase price.
