Welding cells

Andrea Gillhuber,

Robot-based gas-shielded arc welding

Yaskawa has added two compact, robot-based arc welding cells to its Arc World portfolio.

Consisting of a Motoman robot, positioner, controller and power source, the welding cells are space-saving and can be relocated if required. The cells now presented complete the portfolio at the bottom end: The ArcWorld RS Mini requires only 2.3 m² of installation space, the ArcWorld HS Micro only 1.4 m². The compact cells are intended, among other things, as a cost-effective option for entry-level automation or as a supplement to manual welding systems.

The two cells are supplied with a platform and housing, robot, welding package (from Kempi, Fronius and Esab, among others) and the necessary accessories. The housing with polycarbonate anti-glare protection encloses the robot and welding package.
