Automating small welding batches

Omron and AWL have joined forces to bring Qube, a flexible cobot welding cell, to the market. The cell makes it easier to weld small batches automatically.

In contrast to a robot welding cell, there are two important differences: the integration of the manual rotary table and welding by the cobot. No robot programmer is required to program the cobot. Instead, a certified manual welder can teach and program the cobot. The machine is therefore well suited to welding a rapidly changing product range with the same cell.
