Safety during soldering work
The WTBR 1000 benchtop robot from Weller is equipped with soldering tools from the Technology Line, which, according to the manufacturer, guarantee consistent solder joint quality.
The solder feeder is designed so that it is located in the immediate vicinity of the workpiece (PCB). The solder is pulled rather than pushed through the feed tube. The robust and stable design ensures that unforeseen movements and vibrations do not affect the workpiece, components or tools. A double drawer system is designed to allow continuous production and thus a significantly higher process throughput as well as an increase in productivity and flexibility. According to the manufacturer, up to half the costs can be saved with the WTBR 1000 compared to soldering work carried out by hand. Operators can use the unit quickly and conveniently. The handover from one operator to another is said to work smoothly and can be accomplished within a short time, without additional expenditure on training. The WTBR 1000 benchtop robot is a fully enclosed system with integrated fume extraction that meets the highest safety standards: Protection of the operator, the workpiece (PCB) and the machine.
