Controlling machines by radio
Schneider Electric is expanding its range of industrial radio remote control systems in the eXLhoist series with the Compact series for simple crane and lifting applications with three axes. The combination of radio remote control and receiver unit is mounted directly on the machine. Up to 50 individual systems can be operated simultaneously without interference.
Thanks to its small size of 129×90×50 mm, the receiver unit can be installed in a space-saving manner. Thanks to different operating modes, the new version offers reduced cabling requirements. Up to eight transmitters can be stored per receiver unit. This means that one machine can be operated by different users. The radio system's stop function complies with EN 13849-1 category 3 PLd and protects the user, system and load against unintentional operation. The emergency stop function via the radio link achieves SIL 3 and PL e. The device is powered by a replaceable lithium-ion battery. am
