For this purpose, it was equipped with a CAN FD connection and a mixture of analog and digital I/Os. The I/O processing and message transmission can be individually configured with a Windows program via the CAN bus. The robust housing is suitable for use in commercial and heavy-duty vehicles under harsh conditions. Peak-System will also be presenting the new, programmable sensor module PCAN-GPS FD.

Modern sensors such as a satellite receiver, a magnetic field sensor, an acceleration sensor and a gyroscope determine position and orientation. The data can be processed with the microcontroller and transmitted via CAN or CAN FD. The behavior of the sensor module can be programmed for specific applications using the development package.
