Developer kit for OEMs
Vision Components presented embedded vision systems at Embedded World. In addition to an extended selection of models with CMOS sensors from the Sony Pregius series, an ARM-based 3D triangulation sensor, VC nano 3D-Z, awaited visitors to the trade fair in Nuremberg.
The manufacturer offers a wide range of components for industrial image processing: OEMs can choose between stand-alone cameras as a circuit board version, in a standard or protective housing and also receive extensive software libraries on request. The CMOS sensors of the latest Sony Pregius generation have high frame rates at high resolutions. The range of VC smart cameras based on these high-performance sensors now comprises two basic models in different configurations and is being further expanded. The board cameras are available with an integrated image sensor or with a remote sensor head, which, together with the compact board dimensions, ensures easy installation in any application. The latest model uses an IMX273 sensor with a resolution of 1.6 MP, which achieves frame rates of up to 170 fps at this resolution. A sister model with an IMX252, which was launched on the market in 2017, has a resolution of 3.2 MP. Both cameras work with global shutter technology, which reliably prevents undesirable effects such as fogging, smear, distortion or overexposure. sw
