Bosch Rexroth launches high-performance bundle
Manufacturers of CNC laser and plasma cutting systems are aiming for significantly shorter development times and faster time-to-market. The MTX CNC system from Bosch Rexroth supports this, for example with functions for simple engineering.
The combination with the ctrlX Drive drive system from the ctrlX Automation modular automation system also enables space-saving dimensions and high scalability. In combination with the ctrlX Core control platform, the solution supports networking and communication in Industry 4.0.
"Machines for beam cutting must work quickly, precisely and reliably. At the same time, manufacturers have to bring their machines to market in ever shorter times in order to remain competitive. Our MTX CNC system offers support in this respect. Among other things, it has a ready-made project template and powerful functions for high-performance laser cutting, such as height control, fly-cut and leap-frog. This reduces engineering time, costs and the effort required for any debugging," explains Peter Berens, Head of Business Development Manufacturing Business Unit Automation & Electrification Solutions at Bosch Rexroth.
Users also benefit from the use of technology features such as Leap-Frog and Frog-Jump, the high-performance CNC control and corresponding drive functions: a reference sheet can now be cut 10 to 15 % faster than before. With the combination of powerful multi-core processors and decentralized intelligent drive technology, the MTX is set to become the most powerful CNC on the market. This enables very high cutting speeds and accelerations with high precision.
The solution is used for typical beam cutting applications such as 2D laser cutting, plasma cutting or waterjet cutting. With Industry 4.0 communication features in accordance with the OPC UA standard, the system is also equipped for the digital factory.
