These spring clamping systems can be used wherever sliding or moving machine parts need to be temporarily clamped or locked. Further applications can be found in fixture construction and for workpiece or tool clamping. The spring clamping systems work in a mechanical-hydraulic interaction. The clamping force is applied mechanically by a pre-tensioned disk spring assembly.

The hydraulics are only required for the release stroke of the elements, which releases the tie rod or pressure bolt. The system guarantees a high level of operational reliability, as the clamping force is always maintained at the full level regardless of the oil pressure or leakage losses. A hydraulic unit is required for operation.
