Rainer Bröcher becomes new Gedore Managing Director
Gedore, manufacturer of hand-held tools, is taking the next step following the realignment of the umbrella brand and is pressing ahead with the restructuring of the Group.
The top management of the internationally positioned premium supplier of tools is being restructured with Rainer Bröcher. From October 1, 2020, Bröcher will join the management of Gedore Holding. With this appointment, Gedore is once again breaking new ground and placing responsibility for sales and operations in one hand in order to better incorporate the needs of the market into product development and production.
Rainer Bröcher is taking over from Chris Metzler, who is leaving the company after five years in agreement with the shareholders, Gedore announced. In his role as Managing Director, Metzler has set an important and forward-looking course for the group of companies. In particular, the introduction of the Gedore brand as an umbrella brand is regarded as a milestone for the company.
The shareholders' statement reads: "Our environment has always been characterized by change, especially at the moment. It is our challenging goal not only to adapt to these changes, but also to shape them. We also want to achieve this in harmony with our traditional values. Our orientation as a manufacturer is part of Gedore's brand essence. As a brand manufacturer of quality tools, this reorganization will bring our production sites in Germany, Europe and the world even closer to the market."
Together with Suzanne Wahab, who has been a member of the holding company's Management Board since June 2016, Rainer Bröcher will head up the Group's top management. as
