Effective material handling, flexibility and ergonomics - these are requirements that the assembly system for agricultural and industrial agitators and pumps at Franz Eisele und Söhne must meet. As the assembly of components was no longer efficient enough under the existing structures, Eisele decided to fundamentally overhaul the assembly area. The guiding principle was lean production with a time-optimized and economical use of production resources. Eisele therefore opted for the stable D30 profile tube system from Item Industrietechnik. In addition to the safe handling and movement of solid components, the lean production modular system ensures a clear arrangement and quick access to tools and materials. In addition, the individual workstations and assembly lines required at Eisele can be installed and flexibly adapted to the respective needs of different workstation requirements in just a few simple steps and with little effort thanks to the D30 profile tube system.

The increasing demand for individual product solutions means that Eisele is also focusing more and more on individual production. A fundamental overhaul of the assembly area was necessary. The previous system with long wooden workbenches, from whose drawers the workers had to collect the required tools, was no longer up to date. Eisele also saw a need for optimization in terms of ergonomics: the employees in the assembly area had to lift materials weighing up to 30 kilograms out of the delivered boxes. The new system was to offer a high degree of flexibility, transparency and ergonomics, taking into account the principle of lean production, as well as simplifying and streamlining material handling. In addition, the profile tubes used had to be able to support high loads and ensure safe handling of heavy components - as the fully assembled pumps and agitators can weigh up to 320 kilograms.

Eisele uses the D30 profile tube system to configure lean-optimized equipment. This includes racks from which even heavy components can be conveniently removed in combination with roller conveyors. The system gives employees in the assembly area the freedom to individually adapt and reconfigure their workstations. As a result, staff benefit from an ergonomic workplace design in which they are actively involved. In addition, Eisele has established a U-shaped assembly line divided into five stations with the help of the lean production modular system. This significantly increases productivity. pb
