Logimat 2018
Ergonomics in demand
At Logimat, Otto Kind focused primarily on the Multi workbench series. The company is delighted with its successful trade fair appearance. Despite strong competition, there were an exceptionally large number of new contacts.
With many interesting contacts, Otto Kind's participation at Logimat was extremely satisfactory, according to Holger Schmalz, authorized signatory and sales manager for the company's factory equipment. As expected, the work tables from the Multi series were the focus of interest at the stand. The recently acquired IGR certification in ergonomics played a significant role in this. The interest group of back school teachers tests the ergonomics of office and production workstations in a two-stage process. This involves a product test in accordance with DIN 33419/EN ISO 15537 and a comprehensive practical test in companies. The association, supported by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, provides advice and support in all matters relating to back health. Rising absenteeism as a result of increasing musculoskeletal disorders, particularly at assembly and packing workstations, had focused the attention of purchasers and plant managers on suitable solutions.
However, the possible uses of the worktables were also a reason for many visitors to the stand. Rear extensions of up to 1.25 meters are possible. Grab trays and shelves have been optimized for maximum storage capacity. LED lights for precise illumination, connections for power and compressed air on spring balancers, an integrated scale, memory buttons for four completely individual table heights, computer holders, hanging drawers, a swivel arm for the monitor and a keyboard holder - almost anything is possible. All superstructures can also be moved in height together with the table top.
The Multi4lift and Multi4easy workbenches were flanked by an inexpensive packing table variant, which is equipped with an acoustically effective rear panel and thus promotes noise protection. Also of interest was a new locker model with electronic locking, which could make lost keys and broken locks a thing of the past. as
