Controlled impulse screwdrivers
New screwdriver control system saves data
The quality of a bolted joint depends not only on the use of high-quality hand tools, but also on their control. If the measured values can also be archived and documented, the highest possible accuracy and reliability can be achieved for the bolted joint.
The requirements for screwdriving are changing, just as assembly structures are changing. For many companies that carry out series screw fastening, particularly in the automotive industry, it is no longer sufficient to carry out screw assembly with a screwdriver that shuts off precisely. The new generation of Acradyne screwdriver controllers from process optimizer Mint also enables documentation and web-based programming.
The controller supports every impulse screwdriver from the manufacturer Uryu with measuring sensors (UA-MC, UA-AMC, APLHA-MC, UXR-MC series) and thus increases the screwdriving speed and economy while maintaining the same accuracy. This gives the user the necessary flexibility and freedom to control air-powered impulse screwdrivers. Thanks to the implemented compressed air control on the ES models, which have a built-in servo valve, the supply pressure can be set for each parameter, which optimizes the screwdriving result. For tools with angle encoders (AMC series impulse screwdrivers), precise torque control and rotation angle monitoring are also possible.
The new Acradyne generation of screwdriver controls offers additional features. The large four-digit LED display, which is easy to see even from a distance, shows the torque, angle and number of screws as well as the parameter set and job/sequence. On the seven-inch touch screen display, application checks can be carried out in real time using the on-board software. For visual evaluation, either the tightening results can be displayed as tightening curves or as a clearly visible IO/NIO display. In combination with the triple LED display, this enables extended diagnostic functions. Thanks to the barcode interface, up to four different barcodes can be processed.

Ergonomischer Impuls
Programming and diagnostics on multiple devices simultaneously
Web browser-based programming allows the operator to use web-enabled devices such as PCs, tablets or smartphones. What's more, several devices can be used at the same time. For example, the worker can program new jobs on one device in program mode while simultaneously displaying the screwing curves on another device or carrying out tool diagnostics. The controller can save up to one million results directly for data backup. The real-time curve display memory contains 20,000 memories. This data can also be saved on a USB stick or read out as an Excel file. The controllers also have the appropriate standard interfaces such as Open Protocol or XML for connection to higher-level IT systems.
The screwdriving strategies are programmed using so-called jobs. In up to 99 jobs, 256 parameters with up to 20 processing steps can be individually combined and processed one after the other. Flexible screwdriving strategies are possible, such as individual or combined torque/rotation angle control or monitoring as well as Ergomode, Soft Start and other strategies. The control system complies with CE standards.
The Acradyne software package is already pre-installed. The software is based on a standard web browser and enables programming, analysis and diagnostics. Curve results can be displayed in real time. Previously saved results can also be called up again and again during operation. Up to 20,000 curve results can be stored in the memory. In addition to the actual tool programming, diagnostics for repair, calibration and advanced troubleshooting can also be carried out. as
