Fully automatic magnetic filter
Companies in the metalworking industry use magnetic filters to remove ferritic particles from cooling lubricants, grinding oil, washing water and other process fluids.
The new ASMF magnetic filters from Friess, which will be presented at Intec 2019 in Leipzig, now work fully automatically and remove the collected dirt from the filter housing automatically. Magnetic filter rods with a high field strength are movably inserted in the ASMF housing. Ferritic microparticles up to one micrometer are attracted by the magnets and removed from the liquid.
This cleans the fluids intensively and increases the service life of cutting oils, cooling lubricants or washing water. The clean fluid extends the service life of pumps, valves and rotary feedthroughs. At the same time, any downstream filter stages are relieved and the consumption of filter aids is reduced. The advantage for the user is that the ASMF works without consumables; only a small amount of auxiliary energy is required for the drive. pb
