Ideal frictional connection protects screws

Gedore integrates the unit drive profile (UD profile) into many screwdriving tools - from ring wrenches and ring ratchets or insert rings to special tools and sockets for hexagonal and double hexagonal operating tools.

In contrast to conventional profiles, the UD profile has a wave structure with large and round contact surfaces without pointed or sharp edges. This structure ensures an ideal frictional connection, which protects the screw heads and enables up to 20 percent higher torque transmission. The secure transmission takes place with uniform action on the head of the workpiece, which significantly reduces the notch effect and prevents damage to the screw head profile. The special design of the profile prevents slipping or spinning, even with already worn screw heads. The tools with UD profile are made of chrome vanadium steel 31CrV3.
