Contrax Mobile Robot
Robots from the construction kit
Modules for mobile robotics. The new mobile production assistant from Bär Automation makes the collaborative robot mobile. It is designed to work together with the employee in production - without separation and without a safety fence.
There are currently hardly any systems that flexibly combine HRC and mobile robotics. Bär Automation has developed the Contrax Mobile Robot 4.0, a new type of mobile, collaborative robot that is made up of standardized modular elements. Thanks to its modularity, various combination options and customer and application-specific adaptation, it is of particular interest to users from an economic point of view. The robot module can be equipped with lightweight robot systems from various manufacturers - from the low-cost to the high-end range.
The load handling module can be equipped for specific applications. A grooved table is provided in the basic module. One variant is the use of a standard roller conveyor. This enables pallets and small load carriers to be picked up quickly. For other applications, it can be equipped with special workpiece holders, a tool or an automatic gripper changing system.
Freely navigating AGV
The mobile AGV platform automatically moves the entire robot system in a freely navigating and omnidirectional manner. The drive units have been specially developed for this application and offer high performance in a small space. Alternatively, the robot system can also be moved manually on a corresponding passive platform without a drive.
The energy module is designed to be scalable and can vary in storage size. Energy is transferred using an innovative, non-contact system - high-power, inductive and fully automatic. Inductive charging at the workstations enables safe, cycle time-parallel charging, which increases the actual availability of the system. This makes 24/7 operation possible. The energy system is unique on the market and has been specially developed for this application, Bär announced.
A sophisticated safety concept enables collaborative or cooperative operation between humans and robots. In fully automatic operation, the mobile robot can move to pre-programmed workstations to perform tasks such as loading and unloading processing stations. In semi-automatic operation, a convertible system that is pushed to a workstation on a manual platform can also be sufficient. as
