Solidpro expands its presence

Solidpro, a specialist in 3D product development and digital manufacturing, is now also presenting the HP Jet Fusion 3D printing solution at its Paderborn site. With the new showroom, Germany's leading HP 3D printing partner is giving its customers and interested parties an on-site insight into the innovative Multi Jet Fusion technology for prototyping and additive series production.

Solidpro opened its first demo center for HP 3D printing at its headquarters in Langenau, Baden-Württemberg, last year. "3D printing technology is only just starting to gain full momentum. This is particularly true for the highly flexible series production of plastic parts, which has experienced an enormous boost in development thanks to HP," says Christoph Kummer, Head of Manufacturing Solutions at Solidpro. "Our location in Paderborn will serve as a further point of contact for companies interested in the pioneering HP Multi Jet Fusion technology." Solidpro has had a branch in Paderborn for ten years and serves more than 500 industrial customers there with services relating to SO-LIDWORKS CAD, CAM and PLM as well as a wide range of user training courses.

Leading HP 3D printing partner
Solidpro, the specialized 3D system house of the Bechtle Group, was able to position itself as the largest HP 3D printing partner in Germany in the 2017 financial year. This was underpinned by HP's "Best Service Partner 2017 in EMEA" award. Well-known companies from the service provider, mechanical engineering, automotive and consumer goods sectors now rely on Solidpro's comprehensive support in consulting, commissioning and support for HP 3D printing solutions. "For Solidpro, the 3D printing and additive manufacturing segment is a strategically important future market in which we will continue to invest a lot of energy," says Werner Meiser, Managing Director, Solidpro GmbH. The Jet Fusion 300/500 3D printer series, recently introduced by HP, is a new addition to the portfolio.

The new, compact models are suitable for functional prototypes and, depending on the version, also enable production in full color. Target groups are development departments, design companies, start-ups and players in the university and research environment.

Software manufacturer Dassault Systèmes and HP also announced a few weeks ago that they intend to work closely together on the further development of their products for 3D printing. For example, the 3D CAD software SOLIDWORKS is to optimally support the full-color functionality of the HP Jet Fusion 300/500 models in the future. "As a long-standing partner of both manufacturers, we combine certified know-how on the hardware and software side. The technological alliance between SOLIDWORKS and HP thus underlines our unique expertise in the German market," says Solidpro Managing Director Werner Meiser.
