New 3D printers, new resin
Formlabs expands its own SLA 3D printer fleet with the Form 3+ and Form 3B+ models and also launches its first own ESD resin.
Thanks to powerful lasers with higher intensity and new material settings, laser exposure is optimized. Both models speed up the printing time by up to 40 percent compared to their predecessors. They feature new hardware components and software updates that significantly increase printing speed and quality. In addition, the removal of 3D-printed models is simplified.
Simplified post-processing
The launch of the Form 3+ and Form 3B+ also includes the new generation Build Platform 2, which uses patented Quick Release Technology and a flexible printing surface to instantly release parts from the build platform without tools. As they no longer need to be scraped off the build platform, this increases the efficiency of post-processing and prevents damage to the models.
Formlabs is also presenting the new ESD (Electro Static Discharge) Resin as the company's first static dissipative material. The resin is suitable for ESD-safe parts that require the protection of objects and electronics. As one of the few cost-effective, robust, high-quality and ESD-safe materials in the SLA 3D printing industry, ESD Resin opens up new 3D printing applications in the electronics, automotive and aerospace industries.
