Prefabricated parts for the construction industry

Aeditive is the first company in Germany to offer a 3D printing solution for precast concrete parts.

Currently, for example, bridge components are custom-printed from high-quality concrete without having to produce formwork. In addition to significant time savings, the Aeditive solution helps to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in the construction industry thanks to its high degree of automation.

There is currently a real renovation backlog in Germany. Around half of all buildings constructed in Germany between 1945 and 1980 still need to be renovated. Most buildings from this period no longer meet the legal requirements. "Automated prefabricated components are conceivable for many construction projects," explains Alexander Türk, CEO and co-founder of Aeditive. "We are currently working in particular on individual bridge components for new builds and renovations." The prefabrication of concrete components further reduces construction times and - in the case of bridges - the associated traffic restrictions.

The "Concrete Aeditor" developed by Aeditive is an integrated production system. It consists of two industrial robots that fully automate the production process for precast concrete parts. Starting with a standard-compliant concrete mix, the construction process continues through to the finishing of the components. The components are planned and designed in Aeditive's own cloud. The high degree of automation relieves the active employees of their hard physical work. Component optimization saves concrete and the associatedCO2 emissions.

Aeditive is a high-tech start-up founded in 2019 and based in Norderstedt near Hamburg. The young company is digitizing the construction industry with robotic 3D printing solutions, alleviating the shortage of skilled workers and promoting sustainability. Through turnkey and integrated solutions, Aeditive enables this technological leap for all concrete processing companies - regardless of their current technological expertise.
