Welding and marking on an island
A company in Eberding uses a laser system from Mobil-Mark to mark truck axle shafts that are manufactured using the friction welding process. Now up to 500 parts can be welded and marked in a single shift.
3D laser machine welds larger components
The TruLaser Station 7000 3D laser welding system from Trumpf has a larger installation space and higher laser power, making it possible to weld larger components and deeper seams.
Welding thin-walled pipes safely
Orbital welding is a fully mechanical gas-shielded welding process in which the electrode and arc are guided completely around round workpieces. The advantages: high process reliability and reproducibility, short production times, consistently high weld seam quality, easy operation of the process and documentation.

Music of the future
The Blechexpo and Schweisstec trade fair duo took place in Stuttgart at the beginning of November. Like other industries, sheet metal workers and welding technicians have mixed feelings about the future.

Cycloidal gears for robotics
Whether solid or hollow shaft, fully enclosed gear units (gear head) or highly integrable installation kits - Nabtesco has solutions for almost all gear requirements in its portfolio. At SPS, the cycloidal gearbox specialist will be demonstrating what this looks like in practice, including the new 30-60 kilogram QIROX QRC-30/60-PL robot from Cloos.
Technology and knowledge platform
Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2019 with record dimensions
The 14th Blechexpo, international trade fair for sheet metal working, together with the 7th Schweisstec, international trade fair for joining technology, came to a successful close with 1,498 exhibitors from 36 countries.
Welding protection collections
PPE collections in a secure rental service
CWS will be presenting its high-quality welding protection collections at the Schweisstec trade fair from November 5 to 8 in Stuttgart. Visitors can also find out about the benefits of the rental service for protective clothing.

Direction-independent laser deposition welding
With the CoaxPrinter processing head from Precitec, direction-independent build-up welding is possible. The wire is melted homogeneously from all directions on the basis of ring-shaped beam forming and coaxial feeding of the filler material.

Working ranges from 727 to 3,120 mm
Yaskawa is expanding its welding robot portfolio with six new models in the Motoman AR series. With working ranges from 727 to 3,120 mm, they can process a wide variety of workpieces and assemble a large selection of accessories.
