Improving the forming process
Laser blanking is an alternative to conventional cutting. This allows lines to be operated more flexibly, cost-effectively and with less material. At the same time, capacity utilization and throughput increase.

Less weight combined with a high level of safety - these are the requirements of both the aerospace and automotive industries. New materials are needed to achieve this. A research project with partners Oerlikon, Linde and the Technical University of Munich is tackling the challenge.

Fewer process steps, lower consumption
Henkel is continuing to optimize its conversion coating solutions for aluminum finishing. New REACh-compliant Bonderite products are chrome-free, eliminate the need for hazardous substance labeling and improve users'carbon footprint.
The light metal aluminium is characterized by special properties during machining. This naturally also applies to grinding: For optimum surface results, certain machining rules must be observed and grinding techniques applied.
