For industrial, testing and measuring applications
Pressure sensor for harsh vehicle environments
TE Connectivity, technology company and manufacturer of connectivity and sensor solutions, showcased innovative sensors at Sensor+Test 2019 that help companies turn their latest developments and concepts into smart, connected products and solutions.
TE Connectivity 's sensor portfolio offers a wide range of smart, efficient and powerful solutions for a variety of applications and industries. These include sensors for measuring position, pressure, temperature, humidity, force, vibration and much more, as well as a sophisticated range of sensors for harsh environments, including oil and gas processing. TE sensors are used in numerous industries. Applications range from medical and automotive to aerospace and defense, from HVAC to building equipment and consumer electronics to test and measurement, from environmental monitoring to trucks, buses and off-road vehicles.
The manufacturer's Trican 5V combi sensor is designed for engines and fuel cells that require a digital combi sensor with low power consumption for accurate monitoring and diagnostics in harsh vehicle environments.
Predictive maintenance makes a decisive contribution to reducing downtimes. The TE 820M1, an embedded PE accelerometer, is suitable for low to high speed rotating parts in industrial machine monitoring. The PCB-mountable accelerometer is designed for embedded condition monitoring and predictive maintenance applications.
The company also presented other products from its sensor portfolio at the trade fair stand. These included the TSD305 digital thermopile sensor, which measures temperature with high precision and without contact for thermostatic or pyrometric solutions that are suitable for a wide range of applications. Also the MS5840 pressure sensor - designed for electronic devices such as sports watches and fitness trackers where performance and size are critical. Thanks to its magnetoresistive technology, the KMXP position sensor determines the position with high precision and without any contact based on the angular changes of a magnetic field.
In addition, the TE experts presented various application scenarios in animated demos during the trade fair, such as dynamic inclination sensors or sensors for heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology.
