Sick announces change to the Management Board
After a total of 23 years, Management Board member Dr. Martin Krämer will be leaving Sick on September 30. As of July 1, Nicole Kurek, most recently Senior Vice President Talent and Transformation Management at the BMW Group, will join the Board of Management and will be responsible for People & Culture.
Dr. Martin Krämer has been a member of the Management Board since July 2012 and is responsible for Human Resources and Legal & Compliance. Krämer began his career at Sick in 1999 as Head of the Legal Department. He holds a doctorate in law and has devoted himself in particular to the topics of further training and organizational development. The Sick training academy Sensor Intelligence Academy (SIA) was largely the result of his ideas. Krämer also supported the Sick Family and Health Center, which made childcare possible at the Waldkirch site, for example. Last but not least, he was involved in the company's own student research center and the Sick-Bildungshaus (Sick Education Center), providing particular support for the promotion of young talent and training. Martin Krämer is very attached to his adopted home of Waldkirch and will continue to remain in the region.
Handover of HR responsibilities to Nicole Kurek
Nicole Kurek will take over the People & Culture department at Sick AG as a member of the Management Board from July 1, 2022. A graduate in educational science, she holds a master's degree from Saarland University and an MBA with a focus on finance. Kurek worked in human resources in the automotive industry for more than 20 years. She joins Sick AG from the BMW Group, where she held management positions in human resources for various business units based in Germany and in the Europe and Asia regions for several years.
Most recently, Nicole Kurek was Head of Global Talent and Transformation Management at the BMW Group. As Sick Board Member, she will be responsible for the further development of the corporate culture and new working environments as well as driving forward the company's global orientation. Kurek was born in 1974 in Saarland. She will be a member of the Board of Management team chaired by Dr. Mats Gökstorp.
