At this year's trade fair in Hanover, optical sensor manufacturer Leuze is focusing on its expertise in the areas of Safety@work and Industry 4.0.

Visitors to the sensor people stand can find out about further developments in these areas as well as a broad safety portfolio - from the MSI safety controller to solenoid interlocks.

One highlight is the "Smart Process Gating" (SPG) developed on the basis of its MLC safety light curtains, which was developed as an alternative to the muting process without signal-emitting sensors. Leuze received the GIT Safety Award 2019 for this technological innovation.

Industry 4.0-capable solutions based on the dual channel principle are another focus of the trade fair presentation. Using practical examples, the company will show how condition monitoring and predictive maintenance help users to plan maintenance intervals and thus avoid unexpected, cost-intensive system downtimes. as
