Productive implementation of folding processes
Pilz offers a module for bending angle measurement for the camera-based protection system PSENvip 2, which forwards image data to the press control. This allows the operator to see the bending angle value directly on the user interface during bending, eliminating the need for angle measurement systems and manual measurement.
The folding process can thus be implemented productively and safely, ensuring high availability. In addition to the cost and time savings, users also gain space that would otherwise be required for attaching additional devices.
The PSENvip 2 optically monitors the entire press brake process. Installed on the upper beam of the press brake, it detects foreign objects in the protective field between the transmitter and receiver unit. An LED-based solution is used instead of a laser light source. Even under harsh operating conditions, such as vibration, reflection, extraneous or scattered light, the protection system guarantees very high availability.
