Pressure sensors

Fluid sensors

Turck has introduced the PS+ pressure sensor series. These robust sensors are the first products in a modular fluid sensor family that provides customers with reliable and intuitive measuring instruments.

They are easy to put into operation. Overhead mounting is just as possible as turning the sensor head within a range of 340 degrees. After connection, the sensor automatically registers whether the controller or bus module requires a PNP or NPN or current or voltage signal. A compatibility mode is available for integration into IO-Link systems. The user interface with capacitive touchpads and a bi-color display enables quick settings in the plain text menu in accordance with the Turck or VDMA standard and is protected against accidental operating errors by a locking mechanism. The hermetically sealed operating unit is protected against dirt and liquids; the sensors comply with protection classes IP6K7K, IP6K7 and IP6K9K. The PS+ series is designed for pressure ranges up to 600 bar and is available with both ceramic measuring cells (PS310) and metal measuring cells (PS510); the latter have an overpressure resistance of up to seven times the nominal pressure. The sensors can optionally be fitted with pressure peak orifices. The sensor was awarded the iF Design Award. pb
