Position sensor

Almost no loss of stroke

Siko has developed a new SGH10L position sensor for hydraulic and telescopic cylinders. It is particularly suitable for use in applications where virtually no stroke loss can be accepted due to the integration of the sensor in the cylinder.

This is made possible by mounting the sensor on the side of the hydraulic cylinder. This is because the SGH10L sensor is not installed in the cylinder base, as is usually the case, but in its specially developed housing. The system is screwed to the cylinder using a hydraulic screw connection. The cable is guided into the cylinder and directed towards the piston head via a defined deflection. The cable is screwed in there - and that's it. This design means that only the installation space for the sensor ear is required in the cylinder. As this is only a few millimeters, the installation form is particularly compact. Thanks to this design, the sensor can also be used in hydraulic cylinders with extremely small diameters of 20 millimetres and smaller or integrated into cylinders with mechanical end position damping. as
