Temperature sensors
Jumo: Metallized platinum sensors on the back
Platinum chip temperature sensors with a solderable back are now new to the Jumo range.
The gold-plated nickel layer on the back of the sensor allows it to be soldered onto another body. The direct heat transfer reduces the response time of the sensor and, according to the manufacturer, enables precise temperature measurement.
The metallization on the back has good adhesive strength and is optimally wetted by all solders. All common soldering methods can be used, which makes it easier to process the sensor.
As a special feature, Juno has announced the connection wires, which extend to the center and can be angled upwards. This enables space-saving installation of the sensors. In addition to the version with connecting wires, the platinum chip temperature sensors are also available in SMD design (flip chip).
The sensors are designed to guarantee a high level of process reliability and are particularly suitable for applications in which fast response times are important. Possible areas of application include flow sensors for leakage or coolant monitoring, flush-mounted temperature sensors or, for example, process sensors and laboratory analysis devices. as
