Thanks to optical and acoustic guidance, measurements are uncomplicated and user-friendly. The REF function can be used to take a measurement based on a reference angle. The measured value is then saved using the hold function. The accuracy of the tilt measurement should be emphasized: At zero degrees and 90 degrees it is plus/minus 0.05 degrees, at one degree to 89 degrees it is plus/minus 0.2 degrees. With its anodized, waterproof and dustproof housing (IP 65), the compact device is robust and designed for a long service life. The digital display is easy to read even in poor lighting conditions thanks to its large digits and switchable illumination. The Tech 500 DP can be mounted flexibly and securely with sliding blocks (T-slot), on pipes (V-slot) and on steel beams and pipes (side earth magnet). With two AA batteries, the model manufactured in Germany achieves an operating time of at least 150 hours. pb
