Artificial intelligence for industrial cameras
IDS is showcasing its IDS NXT app-based industrial cameras at Vision. The industrial camera platform is growing to include the IDS NXT rio & rome families and offers additional sensors and communication interfaces.
The new IDS NXT rio & rome camera families have the housing of standard industrial cameras, users can use them as fully-fledged standard industrial cameras or benefit from additional, individually definable application options through vision apps and integrable neural networks.
For greater flexibility in 3D vision applications, IDS is presenting a prototype of the new Ensenso XR series with on-board processing. In contrast to the cameras of the N and X series, where the 3D point clouds are determined by a computer, this model can calculate them itself. The advantages are faster creation of the 3D point clouds (compared to PC-based creation), a lower load on the network bandwidth by passing on direct results and a reduced computing load on the host PC. This enables faster clock rates for bin-picking applications. as
