Absolute encoder for long measuring distances

The MSA213C high-resolution absolute sensor from Siko delivers the absolute position without referencing and buffer battery. Thanks to its small design and numerous interfaces, it can be integrated into the system and control environment with minimal effort.

With its high signal quality and small dimensions, the MSA213C is ideal for use in handling and assembly automation, in processing systems, pick-and-place applications or PCB processing, as well as for precise position detection and speed measurement in linear direct drives.

The absolute resolution is 1 µm. The repeat accuracy of ±1 µm enables reliable use in multi-axis applications or positioning systems in which precise control or detection of positions is required. The encoder achieves this performance over a length of up to 16 m.

The sensor is available with SSI, RS485 and BiSS-C interfaces and is also available with IO-Link. There is also an incremental interface as a digital line driver or analog 1 Vpp signal output. The housing has a status indicator LED.
