High-performance multispectral line scan camera with 5GigE
The new Linea2 4k Multispectral 5GigE camera takes machine vision systems to the next level with its performance and value, offering a 5GigE interface with five times the bandwidth of the Linea GigE camera.
The Linea2 4k Multispectral 5GigE simultaneously captures high-resolution RGB and near-infrared multispectral images to reveal invisible features that cannot be detected when using illumination only in the visible range. This makes it suitable for identifying hard-to-see defects, contaminants and safety features in applications such as automated optical inspection, print inspection, optical sorting systems, material sorting and inspection, web inspection and many other machine vision applications.
This small form factor camera features a high performance quad-linear CMOS sensor from Teledyne with a resolution of 4,096 x 4 pixels and a pixel size of 7 x 7 μm. The sensor is equipped with four lines for red, green, blue and NIR channels, which have spectrally independent color and NIR outputs for minimal crosstalk. Unlike prism-based cameras, the Linea2 cameras do not require expensive optical lenses, which contributes to a significant reduction in the overall cost of a vision system.
