Efficiency, flexibility and process reliability are the key words that characterize the DuraScan G5 family. It can be used to perform Vickers, Knoop and Brinell testing tasks in a wide load range.

The model variants from ZwickRoell not only stand out thanks to the innovative user guidance of the ecos Workflow operating software, but the test sequence is also fully automatic - from setting the indentation to displaying the hardness value. This largely eliminates any possible influence by the user.

The large standard load range of the DuraScan G5 from 10 g to 62.5 kg extends the application range of the hardness tester enormously. As an option, it can even start at 0.25 g. The force is continuously and precisely monitored by electronic sensors, so that exact results are guaranteed. The ecos Workflow operating software guides the user step by step through the testing process right up to data backup. A user-friendly interface reduces training time and operating errors. Another special feature of ecos Workflow is the integrated calibration assistant, which monitors all calibrated methods and greatly simplifies the standardized inspection of the hardness tester.

The image quality of the 10 Mpix camera in all devices in the DuraScan G5 series also sets new standards. This also applies to the new color overview camera, which uses active lighting to increase efficiency and convenience when positioning complex test point patterns. The efficient utilization of the high-resolution camera chip enables a 4x zoom without having to accept a loss of quality due to interpolation. This means that a wide range of applications can be covered with just a few lenses.
