As a global drone operations company, Dronebase provides access to one of the largest pilot networks for unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The investment establishes Flir as the exclusive provider of thermal imaging product solutions and the official provider for training the Dronebase pilot network on UAS thermal imaging systems through the Flir Infrared Training Center (ITC).

"Our investment in Dronebase helps expand the adoption of Flir thermal imaging technology by making it accessible to more pilots who fly drones every day," said Jim Cannon, president and CEO of Flir. "The Dronebase Enterprise Pilot Network is trained by professional thermographers. As a result, Dronebase can now offer specific thermal imaging inspection services to its customers on a broad basis. Conversely, Flir will have the opportunity to offer additional services of its own through Dronebase in the future."

Dronebase and its pilots have conducted over 100,000 commercial missions in more than 70 countries, providing services to various industries including residential and commercial real estate, insurance, telecommunications, construction and media. Flir and Dronebase will collaborate in the development of specialized training for Dronebase pilots through the ITC training center and create an exclusive pilot network thanks to a special Dronebase certification process.
