Data logger
Compact design with remote transmission unit
Keller has introduced the enhanced ARC-1 data logger with remote transmission unit.
Communication takes place via the 3G mobile radio system, optionally also via 4G. The new radio modules also allow localization via the mobile network. A micro SIM card is used for storage; the data logger can also be supplied with an e-SIM on request. In addition to system status information such as battery status and signal strength, the device also includes a humidity sensor. A real-time clock is integrated into the data logger, which continues to run when the battery is changed. Existing GSM-2 data loggers can easily be upgraded to ARC-1 data loggers.
The cylindrical design with a diameter of 48 mm can be placed in the head end of a 2 inch diameter dip tube commonly used in groundwater measurement technology. The housing is designed to withstand condensation and short-term flooding. The sealed antenna is covered by a lockable cover cap made of solid plastic.
Equipped with a lithium battery, the logger can transmit the results of 24 measurements per day by e-mail, SMS or FTP for up to 10 years. The highest measurement rate is 1 measurement per minute. Two voltage inputs (0 to 5 V), 2 digital inputs, a BUS interface (RS485) for operating up to 5 level probes and an optional SDI12 interface for water analysis devices are also available.
The free DataManager software performs the functions of a monitoring, collection, control and organization unit. DataManager collects the measurement data, assigns it, displays it graphically, reports if limit values are exceeded and finally stores it in a license-free mySQL database. Various export and Internet functions enable third parties to access the measurement data and integrate it into their data acquisition systems. The data loggers are also parameterized and monitored via the software.
