With IDS NXT, the industrial camera manufacturer IDS presents a new generation of vision app-based sensors and cameras that can perform various image processing applications independently or with PC support.
A suitable development kit enables users to create any number of apps and install and run them on IDS-NXT sensors or cameras as easily as on a smartphone. The user decides whether IDS-NXT devices read codes, recognize characters, faces or license plates or whether they find, measure, count or identify objects.
IDS NXT vegas marks the start of the new generation of devices. This first model is equipped with a light-sensitive 1.3 megapixel CMOS image sensor and integrated LED lighting. A TOF sensor measures the distances to objects with millimeter precision. As a result, it independently detects changes in distance and can trigger accordingly. The integrated, wear-free liquid lens with autofocus readjusts in milliseconds and always delivers sharp images. The sensor is dust-proof, splash-proof and vibration-proof. IDS also features M12 circular connectors for GigE connection, power supply (12 to 24 volts DC), trigger, flash, two digital inputs and outputs and RS232. as
