Groundbreaking ceremony in Olching
Captron invests 10 million in new building
Captron is on course for growth: on July 12, 2019, the company broke ground for a new building in the Bavarian municipality of Olching near Munich, right next to the company's German headquarters.
With additional storage, office and production space of 4,500 square meters, there will be room for 150 more employees, who will be able to park conveniently in the new multi-storey parking lot with 132 parking spaces and several charging stations for electric cars. The bistro with adjoining atrium covers 400 square meters.
The new building has a photovoltaic system that supplies Captron with its own electricity. The company also uses a groundwater heat pump for heating and cooling. The new building will be designed entirely in accordance with the latest energy guidelines. In total, Captron is investing around ten million euros in the Olching site.
Captron is primarily known for its capacitive and optical sensors as well as complete control systems for various areas of application. These include industrial automation, traffic and transportation technology, building technology and many others. While a certain amount of pressure is required to actuate mechanical switches, capacitive sensors enable pressureless switching. As a result, they are more durable, more reliable and offer greater convenience. as
