Seven-meter cargo
Precise measurement of long loads
Users can now measure loads of up to seven meters with the Apache portal freight volume measuring device from AKL-tec and bill them as required.
The maximum measuring capacity was increased from 5.20 meters to seven meters by revising the design of the Apache p8 system. With the previous maximum length, the system already measured in its own class of calibratable multi-dimensional measuring devices. The new capacity enables logistics companies to bill particularly bulky goods precisely on the basis of their dimensions.
According to the company, this is particularly advantageous when it comes to collecting legally relevant freight data, where every centimeter and every gram counts. It is precisely these parameters that are recorded by Apache's electronic eyes, in which the two laser measuring heads are located on a driven measuring beam and measure the length, width and height of the freight.
Optionally, the measured goods can also be weighed and photorealistically documented with a camera. For the measuring process, the freight is placed within the measuring zone using a forklift truck, hand pallet truck or electric pallet truck and the measurement is started using a barcode scanner or manually. The data is then automatically transferred to the customer database via defined interfaces. as
