3D sensor
Applications with a large field of vision
SmartRay has launched the latest addition to its Ecco 95 sensor series. The latest model is suitable for large field of view measurements in a range of industries.
The Ecco 95.200 offers high-speed 3D scanning at up to 10 kHz in a compact design with a wide field of view and a large measuring range. The field of view is 190 mm in the center of the measuring range and up to 250 mm in the far field, while the measuring range in the far field can even be extended to 360 mm. The lateral resolution is 102 µm and the vertical resolution in the middle measuring range is 31 µm.
Multi-sensor registration (MSR) technology is suitable for extending the field of view at lateral resolution by combining the field of view of two sensors to scan large parts. With its high resolution, high dynamic range and optimized optics, the Ecco 95.200 offers very good 3D data quality for manufacturing in industries such as rail inspection, machine tools, consumer electronics and food production. The balance between field of view, measuring range and resolution is ideal for scanning larger products where dimensions, inclinations or warping of large PCBs or boards can be measured.
When inspecting railroad tracks, the sensor is suitable for measuring the height of fastening screws, while in the tool industry the height of drills and other heavy tools can be measured. The housing dimensions of the Ecco 95.200 are the same as those of the 95.040, 95.100 and 75.200 models. This makes it easier to switch to the newer model when scanning with a larger field of view or a high scan rate is required.
